  • The Sims 4: February 2021 Downloads (Part 1)

This is a list of Sims 4 must-have custom content that makes gameplay better and is too good not to share! Reminder Please note that it is a must to keep your downloads updated. New patches and updates for The Sims 4 may or may not cause your downloads to stop working. Most creators update their files immediately, all we have to do is redownload. I will keep a lookout for updates, and update this page as well. Installing Custom Content and Mods Step 1: Every mod/custom content should be placed in My Document>Electronic Arts>The Sims 4> Mods Step 2: If the cc/mod you download is in .package format, you can place it anywhere you want in the Mods folder. If it is a SCRIPT mod, you cannot place it inside a sub-sub folder. If it's a ZIP file, first unzip it and follow the instructions above. Step 3. Enable cc in-game. If you're using script mods, also enable script mods in-game Installing Sims and lots Step 1: Every mod/custom content should be placed in My Document>Electronic Arts>The Sims 4>Tray Step 2: If it's a ZIP file, first unzip it and follow the instructions above. Step 3. Enable cc in-game. If you're using script mods, also enable script mods in-game Step 4. Go to your Sims 4 Gallery in the game, and look for your Sims or the lots you had just installed. If you cannot find them, you might need to enable your custom content in the gallery. NOTE: After each patch, the game will automatically disable custom contents; you have to enable it in-game again. Please be guided accordingly: Blue Custom Content - Deco only Green Custom Content/Mods - Functional Yellow Custom Content - CAS (Sims, skin overlay, make-up, eye colors, clothes, etc.) Red Custom Content - Build Mode (Includes Lots & House, rooms) Table of Contents (Part 1) Click the CC/Mod name for info. ♥ 02.09.2021 - Baby Steamer and Toddler Food - Toaster Mod - Custom Food 02/09 - Custom Food Interactions - Custom harvestable - Grannies Cookbook - Late Dinner - Muttropolitan Dog Set - Washing Station - Functional toaster - Ken You Not Dollhouses - Srsly's Complete Cooking Overhaul ♥ 02.10.2021 - B Horror Movie Posters for Halloween - Custom Food 02/10 - Instant Makeup Mod - Recoloured Wardrobe - Men's Wall Racks (Functional) - Nectar Making For The Sims 4: February 2021 Downloads (Part 2), click here. (February 12 and 14) For The Sims 4: February 2021 Downloads (Part 3), click here. (February 14, 15, 21, and 28) 1. Baby Steamer and Toddler Food Description The functional baby steamer generates eight new dishes: Mashed carrots & Breaded tofu, Peas & Pizza, Red lentils & Gruyère, Mashed potatoes & ham, Lentils & Bread, Ladybug, Monkey, and Owl. Last Updated 02.03.2021 Creator/s Around The Sims 4 Get it here Baby Steamer & Toddler food Thoughts The baby plates are awesome looking. 2. Toaster Mod Description The functional toaster mod allows your Sim to choose among nine new dishes: Pop Tart - brown sugar, Pop Tart - cherry, Toast & baked beans, Toasts, Tortilla, and Waffles. Last Updated 01.29.2021 Creator/s Around The Sims 4 Get it here Toasters & toasted breakfast recipes Thoughts Although it lacks the animation of bread toasting in the toaster, I am still happy with this. Other than the recipes that come with it, the designs look really good in the kitchen. 3. Custom Foods 02/09 Description These custom foods require Custom Food Interactions for them to work. As for the ingredients, most are optional. However, I would suggest you include Icemunmun's harvestable as they would make the game more realistic and interesting. Last Updated 02.03.2021 Creator/s Icemunmun Get it here Apple Salad (07.09.2020) Chicken Adobo (01.17.2021) Dinner Rolls (03.14.2021) Broccoli Recipes: Mashed Potato Broccoli, Broccoli Chicken, and Broccoli Cheddar Soup (07.09.2020) Olive and lemon spaghetti (07.09.2020) Thoughts One thing I look forward to when there is a new expansion pack or any other pack of The Sims 4 is the new foods. I have always felt that the recipes in the game were never enough to keep me from getting bored playing my Sims. Earlier on, I wasn't too keen on downloading custom food for my game or any mod because of fear that my game would crash. But how was I to resist when so many interesting dishes and mods could make gameplay really fun - and here I am, sharing these wonderful dishes for your Sims to enjoy, too. Of course, I have tested each one and give them a big thumbs up! Note Please note that you must have custom food interactions. 4. Custom Food Interactions Description This mod allows the fridge and stove to have custom interactions, as well as custom foods. Last Updated 05.17.2021 Creator/s plasticbox, icemunmun, graycurse, necrodog, ohmysims Get it here Custom Food Interactions Thoughts Heaven-sent! I am fortunate to have discovered this mod - raiding the fridge has never been this fun until now. 4. Custom Harvestable Description Adds harvestable fruit, veggies, herbs, and their trees/plants/bushes to the game. Last Updated 04.01.2021 Creator/s Icemunmun Get it here Apricot (09.20.2020) Artichoke (09.21.2020) Arugula (09.20.2020) Avocado (09.21.2020) Banana (09.20.2020) - extra note 01 Bay Leaf (01.08.2021) Bell Pepper (09.21.2020) Black Pepper (09.20.2020) Blueberry (03.11.2021) Broccoli (09.21.2020) Butternut Squash (11.06.2020) Cabbage (09.20.2020) Cardamom (02.03.2021) Cauliflower (09.21.2020) Cheese (09.20.2020) Chickpea (09.21.2020) Chives (09.20.2020) Cinnamon (09.21.2020) Cocoa Bean (01.01.2021) Collard Greens (09.20.2020) Corn (09.21.2020) Coriander (09.20.2020) Cranberry (09.20.2020) Cucumber (09.21.2020) Cumin (03.11.2021) Eggplant (09.21.2020) Garlic (09.21.2020) Ginger (09.21.2020) Grapes - 6 varieties (09.20.2020) Green Chili (09.21.2020) Guava (09.21.2020) Jalapeno (09.20.2020) Kale (09.20.2020) Kidney Beans (09.20.2020) Kiwi (09.20.2020) Leek (09.21.2020) Lime (09.20.2020) Mango (09.21.2020) Marshmallow (11.06.2020) Nutmeg (11.06.2020) Olive (09.21.2020) Orange (09.21.2020) Papaya (09.21.2020) Parsnip (09.21.2020) Peach (09.21.2020) Peppermint (09.21.2020) Pine Cone and Nuts (12.06.2020) Pistachio (09.21.2020) Plum (09.21.2020) Pomelo (09.21.2020) Pumpkin Project (09.21.2020) - extra note 02 Radish (09.21.2020) Raspberry (09.21.2020) Red Beans (09.20.2020) Rhubarb (09.21.2020) Rice grain (09.20.2020) Rosemary (09.21.2020) Scotch Bonnet Pepper (09.20.2020) Spring Onion (09.21.2020) Sweet Potato (11.06.2020) Thyme (09.20.2020) Tofu (09.20.2020) Turnip (09.20.2020) Vanilla Bean 001.01.2021) Wheat Grain (09.20.2020) Yam (09.21.2020) Thoughts Having a wide range of fruits and veggies to choose from has increased my list of ingredients from short to long - plus, all these ingredients help my Sims cook their dishes to perfection. Most of all, farming feels more like "farming" now. The Sims 4 should have tackled this since so many Sims 4 fans have repeatedly asked for Maxis to focus on farming - but they have not done so until now. As you continue reading my page, you will find several items that will make you itch to create a farm immediately! You can also check out Arnie's mod pack called THE SIMS 4 FARMLAND, which focuses on farming. Extra Notes 01 Banana - Once the banana is ready to be harvested, you will now have the option to separate the banana cluster into 3: fruit, blossom, and leaf. All three parts have different uses. Please see the image below. For banana leaf crafting, click here. Extra Notes 02 Pumpkin Project - The pumpkin can be used as an ingredient in your dishes, but it can also be crafted into pumpkin juice and/or cut into a pumpkin slice. If you download the Pumpkin Carving Recipe Override, the classic pumpkin carver will now require a pumpkin harvestable. 5. Grannies Cookbook Description The Grannies Cookbook includes Littlbowbubs own custom recipes. You must download the recipes separately - breakfast, grill, desserts, snacks (including drinks), and toddler food. I keep my cookbook under the new counter with the Snowy Escape. You can put it anywhere and still have accessibility, click on it, and a menu will pop up. Last Updated 07.22.2021 (version 22.07)/((updated for cottage living ep) Creator/s Littlbowbub Get it here Grannies Cookbook - Book Grannies Cookbook - Recipes Thoughts When I saw a picture of the Grannies Cookbook on Pinterest, it not only tickled my curiosity, it actually drove me to download this mod. I wanted it so badly that I was willing to download a mod and not just custom content for my game. I was ecstatic when my game worked fine after I had installed it, and I was way happier soon after because it is the reason for all the custom foods in my game today. 6. Late Dinner Description Decorative objects for a rustic or medieval-themed kitchen. The color variation comes in 4, and the set includes 16 objects. Last Updated 05.08.2017 Creator/s soloriya Get it here Late Dinner Thoughts Although these items are non-functional, I still enjoy having them in my game. They are well-done and pretty to look at. 7. Muttropolitan Dog Set - Washing Station Description This washing station is exclusively for pets. It is part of a set with poles, a platform, a ramp, and a tunnel for your pets to play and train on. Included in the set is a food bowl /water bowl. Last Updated 09.21.2020 Creator/s ravasheen Get it here Muttropolitan Dog Set Thoughts My sims pets enjoy using this station, and I enjoy cleaning and filling up the food bowls. 8. Functional toaster Description Ten types of toasts can be crafted with this toaster: Nutella, fried beans, strawberry jam, blackberry jam, peanut butter and banana, cream cheese, hummus, cream and berries, butter, and avocado. Click on the toaster, pick your choice of toast, and watch the simple animation this toaster makes. Last Updated 09.21.2020 Creator/s necrodog Get it here Necrodog's Functional Toaster Thoughts My Sims often use this toaster, which is convenient for me when they are in a hurry (late for work or school). It works well with all the custom food I have in my game. This toaster also comes with the animation of the bread popping up from the toaster. 9. Ken You Not Dollhouses Description These small and functional dollhouses are sized to fit snugly in the ‘Do It Yourshelf’ cubbies and remain functional in or on top of the cubbies! Last Updated unknown Creator/s ravasheen Get it here Ken You Not Dollhouses Thoughts Breath of fresh air is what they are! I hate that all the dollhouses in Sims 4 are too big - they take up too much space. These Ken You Not Dollhouses are better than what we already have in our games. 10. Srsly's Complete Cooking Overhaul Description This mod adds grocery shopping to your game. All EA recipes and even custom foods compatible with this mod rely heavily on your grocery items - so if you want to eat a tuna sandwich, it is best to buy bread. You can shop by visiting rabbit holes if the shops are open. You may also have your ingredients delivered to you by mail. On top of this, you may also subscribe to receive food boxes of different kinds: Bakers Dozen, Butchers Block, Drink Crate, Meal Time, Munchie Madness, Vegetarian Haven, and Plasma Night. There is also a grocery store with all ingredients, and you may visit it for your weekly shopping. Last Updated 06.15.2021 Creator/s SrslySims Get it here Srsly's Complete Cooking Overhaul (SCCO - 3.6.2) Thoughts In a nutshell, this is "wow" for me. 1. Last Updated 04.02.2021 Creator/s Icemunmun, Sandy - simlish Get it here Candied Yam (12.14.2019) Edible Junk Food (04.19.2019) Irish Lamb Stew (03.16.2020) Jerk Chicken (06.02.2021) Thoughts 5 stars! 3. Instant Makeup Mod Description With Instant Makeup Mod, you can make up your Sims instantly (Vintage Glamour pack is required). Last Updated 02.17.2021 Creator/s caradriel Get it here Instant make up Thoughts I often do not have enough space for the makeup dressers in the game, so this instant make-up mod is very helpful and a space saver. 4. Recoloured Wardrobe - Men's Wall Racks (Functional) Description The normal rack has a total of 24 recolors and four wood color options to choose from. It functions just like a dresser. Last Updated 06.20.2020 Creator/s aaTmaHira Get it here Recoloured Wardrobe - Men's Wall Racks Thoughts With this, my Sims can now have a closet and not just a dresser all the time. 5. Nectar Making Description The nectar maker is a new crafting station complete with a 10 level skill, several custom buffs, social interactions, and new a craftable - nectar ( alcoholic drink). Last Updated 07.22.2020 (updated for cottage living ep) Creator/s icemunmun Get it here Nectar Making Thoughts I really enjoy this mod, especially when it's dinner time, and I make my sims open a bottle of nectar. There is something so satisfying when I see my sims eat and drink altogether while having their dinner, whether alone or with their family. • Dragon Age Inquisition: The Undying Whirlwind

The goal of this Artificer build is to give more durability to the otherwise quite squishy rogue. Couple that with the huge damage potential, and you get a pretty overpowered build if you use it correctly. For solo gameplay this is pretty much the safest and most powerful dual dagger approach, while using Stealth, although recommended, remains completely optional, since the build works well without it. Toxic Cloud is an often overlooked skill, since it really doesn't offer that much in terms of damage: 50% weapon damage converted into poison for 8 seconds in a small 5 meter radius? Who would use this when they can deal thousands and thousand of critical damage from abilities like Twin Fangs or Throwing Blades? Well, the useful part of this skill lies in it's upgrade "Lost in the Mist", which is one of the most useful upgrade in the entire game! The "Elusive". This will allow you to create a "barrier" around you, a shadowy form of yourself that will deflect any type of incoming damage. After one hit, it disappears. Even if this would just be it, it would still be extremely useful in certain situations, but this is not just it... you get to stack this protective shield up to 3 hits! That's right. If you stand in Toxic Cloud, after every second, you get another Elusive until it reaches its peak at 3. In addition to this, it is immune to overtime damage like, poison or burning. In fact it immediately stops them dealing damage on you if you activate the ability after the status effect is applied on you. This means that you can deflect that nasty, very powerful poison damage from poison spiders and you also don't have to be afraid of the burning effect from dragons or spellcasters. There is really only one thing left for you to focus when you have an incredibly useful ability like this at your disposal: how to use it as often as possible! Cooldowns are extremely important for this build, so your main focus is to boost up your critical chance. High critical chance with the Artificer passive Opportunity Knocks will grant you the ability to use your skills in a rapid fashion and in a never-ending cycle. This will give you unlimited access to the Toxic Cloud skill and the Elusive, along with an extremely impressive damage output. Active skills: Toxic Cloud - Lost in the Mist: The cornerstone of the build. This will allow you to be protected while you are doing your non-stop attacks. Throwing Blades - Precision Targeting: Another cornerstone. Fast, multiple hits and applies a 25% damage buff to the next ability you use. One of the most powerful skill for a rogue. Spinning Blades - Neverending Spin: The third most important skill for the build. This not only serves as a quick way to reduce your cooldowns, but using it after Throwing Blades with the Pincushion passive unlocked, will melt the health pool of even the toughest bosses. It also has a nice AOE damage and it ends with an AOE knockdown. Fantastic skill! Flank Attack - Skirmisher: Great skill to have in your arsenal. It gives you a quick way to get close to your enemies or get behind their back. With the upgrade you also get out of their sight fast, in case you need it. Death Blow - Thrill of Victory: For a quick way to finish off enemies when their health is down or for bosses below 50% health to suffer enormous damage when used after Spinning Blades and Throwing Blades. The skill is extremely fast so it can also help reducing cooldowns. It also offers a small AOE knockdown after the second cut. Stealth - Clinging Shadows: This is completely optional. Stealth is useful at the beginning when you don't have the specialization yet, but you can spec out of it later on. The build works just fine without it. You can still get it if you have skills to burn, since it will make things even easier. Passive skills(only the most important ones): Opportunity Knocks - This is the most important passive. After each critical hit, your cooldown lessens by 0.5 seconds. Get it as fast as possible. Looked like it Hurt - The second most important passive skill. This is essential for ability activation, since this skill basically does the same thing Opportunity Knocks, but instead of reducing the cooldown, it will replenished your stamina upon a critical hit. With this in the background, you will never run out of it. Pincushion - 5% damage increase after each hit works extremely well with this build, since you use multiple hit abilities, so that 5% can quickly go up to 100-200% during that 10 second window while it lasts. Unforgiving Chain - It is required to unlock in order to access Spinning Blades, but still worth to mention of how good it is. If your base critical chance is around 50-60%, this passive will make sure that you will hit critical pretty much 100%. And Take them Down - 5% critical chance for a passive sounds like a fair trade! Tricks of the Trade - 10% bonus damage and 10% bonus duration on status effects is always useful. Equipment: I feel like a broken record when I say that the Superior Prowler Armor schematics with its upgrades are the best choice here. It is pretty much the best choice for any rogue build, really. Stuff it with Great Bear Hide for critical chance or Lurker Skin for critical damage depending on what you need. You can also put the Sigil of the Great Bear in it. You can get this schematics by getting the Short List inquisition perk and visiting the Desert Merchant in the Hissing Waste. The shop will randomly sell it sometimes. The Coiled Strike schematics is the best choice for this build in my opinion, since it comes with a lot of offensive slots for critical damage and critical chance. If you plan to get critical chance elsewhere and you would go for Attack instead of Critical Damage, then I recommend the Stone Stalker Blade. The Coiled Strike is available at the Black Emporium. You can get the Stone Stalker Blade from the Descent dlc. The Superior Skirmisher Hat is pretty much the best option here, since it offers the most utility slot for a rogue. The only alternative is the Superior Battlemage Cowl, if you use Avvar Cotton in the utility slot. Available at the Black Emporium. For the Battlemage Cowl, you will need the Jaws of Hakkon dlc for this schematics. You need to visit Stone-Bear Hold and look for the Weapon Merchant there. Superior Critical Damage Rings are the choices I went with, because I had enough critical chance, but if you are lacking in that area, you can get the Ring of Slicing. The Critical damage Rings are random loot, they have a high chance to spawn in the chests in the Descent dlc, the Ring of Slicing is available in the Black Emporium. The Malika's Guard amulet can be weird choice, since it is mainly used by archers, because of the penalty to flanking damage, but I usually attack from the front so to me, the penalty is not a problem. If you want to use flanking, use a Superb Dexterity Amulet. For a belt, there really isn't any mandatory choice. You can go with a Superb Life Belt, Belt of Elements or you can even use a Belt of Urgency if you are willing to trade 50% of your health for a large speed boost. Masterworks: You have multiple choice here or you can just go with all of them. It all depends on what you need. Using Hidden Blades further reduces cooldowns when it procs so it is extremely useful to have. Getting Guard on hit also works. And finally, you can always go with Targets Explode or Walking Bomb if you feel like you need more aoe damage. Combat: Naturally, you first activate Toxic Cloud. The Elusives will add up after each second, up a total of 3. I recommend using Throwing Blades first, no matter what. The damage boost you get for the next ability is really rewarding, regardless of which skill you use after. Depending on the distance of your target, you can use Flank Attack to get close, or if you are close enough, you can activate Spinning Blades. After this, all you have to do is spam Throwing Blades and Spinning Blades. Keep an eye on your Elusive and activate Toxic Cloud regularly to keep yourself safe. If your targets' health is sufficiently low, you can finish them off with Death Blow. You can use Stealth if you feel like it in order to avoid enemies or to get the damage buff. It is hard to create a more powerful build than this one. Usually dealing high damage comes with poor survivability without Stealth and good survivability comes with weak damage. I am not surprised that the Artificer can find a way around this too. This is by far the safest build for a non-stealth based rogue and it was a huge blast to play. You are a monster who can kill anything in seconds and you are almost impossible to kill. It can take some time to get use to the combos and the extremely fast paced combat, but once you get it, you will love it! Good luck!

  • Dragon Age Inquisition: The Frost/Fire Crusader build

The goal of the Frost/ Fire Crusader build is to turn your squishy mage into a "one-man army" that can take on everything alone. With the help of powerful fire and frost spells, the Crusader absolutely destroys crowds and with its Knight Enchanter abilities, it can be more than a match for any boss. This build is ideal for solo gameplay because of its fantastic crowd control and superb survivability. The ability that makes this build possible, is the Fade Shield passive skill in the Knight-Enchanter specialization. This skill allows you to fill up your Barrier by using offensive spells. Barrier is a protective shield around your character that has to be depleted first, in order for you to take any health damage. With Fade Shield, the strength of your Barrier will depend on how high your damage output is. Needless to say, this means that if your damage output is high enough, your barrier will always be around you to protect you from damage. This is why you don’t use the Barrier skill itself. You only have a limited amount of space for your active skills, so you want to stack it with the ones you need the most. Active Skills: Fire Mine – Flaming Array: Fire Mine is something everyone knows about, because it is one of the most powerful skill for a mage in terms of raw damage. With the Flaming Array upgrade, the spell turns into an instant aoe explosion, inflicting very serious fire damage on the targets. Its only weakness is that the ability seems to be bugged and only deals 1 point of damage if you position yourself behind your target. Frost Mine – Chilling Array: Frost Mine is mainly useful for crowd control. Even cold immune enemies will freeze for a few seconds from it, so it is a very effective ability to paralyze, therefore interrupt enemies before they can use their high damage abilities. Winter’s Grasp – Winter’s Ruin: Very effective spell for freeze and it causes massive single target damage, especially on “Chilled” targets with the Winter’s Ruin upgrade. Energy Barrage – Energy Bombardment: It causes huge single target damage and it’s also a great detonator for frozen targets. Energy Barrage is a very effective skill for applying “shocked”, “chilled” and “burning” effect on enemies depending on the material of your weapon. With the upgrade, it also decreases the resistances of your target. Fade Cloak – Decloaking Blast: This skill allows you to avoid huge damage and knockback abilities, like Corypehus’ initial “red shockwave” from his orb, Gurd Harofsen’s massive frost explosions, or Saarath’s knockback and electric explosions when he pulls you close to him. Even if you get knocked on the ground, this skill resets the “get up” animation, so it will instantly gets you back on your feet. With the Decloaking Blast upgrade, it is also a very effective offensive skill that seems to have a very powerful, but very small, aoe spirit explosion effect when the duration ends. Fade Step – Frost Step: In my opinion, Fade Step is essential for every mage for maneuvering. There is just no way for a mage to effectively dodge massive aoe abilities without it. Yes, the Knight-Enchanter can use Fade Cloak, but Fade Cloak has a cooldown and a very short duration. Fade Step is simply a “must have” in my opinion. With the Frost Step upgrade, it is excellent to apply “Chill” on enemies, which can be followed by Winter’s Grasp for massive cold damage. Choosing the upgrade that replenishes your mana if you pass through enemies is also a viable option. I personally like to pick the frost damage and “chill” upgrade though, because Fade Stepping into a group of enemies will damage them and fills up your barrier in the process. This is an excellent way to start combat! Spirit Blade -Amplified Blade: This is pretty obvious. Your main weapon. Energy Barrage will quickly charge it up to its full strength and you can cut through your opponents like butter. Passive Skills(only the most important ones): Guardian Shield: This skill is definitely more useful at the beginning. A protective barrier that spawns when you are near death. Amazing skills. Even at higher levels, you will be thankful that it’s there. Strength of Spirits: Increases the hit points of your Barrier by 50%. This means that you can build up more Barrier with your damage and enemies will have a harder time destroying it. Fade Shield: I wrote about it earlier. This build depends on this skill, so it’s pretty obvious that this is another “must have”. Flashpoint: Even mages that do not have fire spells can pick this up. This will allow you to use the same spell twice if you land a critical hit. This means that you get to use powerful skills like Fire Mine, Energy Barrage or Winter’s Grasp twice in a row. Clean Burn: Since you cast spells in a quick succession with this build, this passive will be your best friend. Frost Mastery: Enemies will stay frozen longer and the “chill” effect also stays on them longer as well. In addition to these passives, you can also pick up the Ice Armor passive for more damage reduction, if you have an extra skill point to spare. This skill however is not necessary for the build, just a useful addition. Equipment: I recommend that you craft your gear from the best materials you have available. Tier 4 if possible. The Superior Battlemage Armor schematics has no equal when it comes to a mage build that focuses on damage. With the Battlemage Arms and Legs, you can push your Magic bonus up to 44. The rest of the slots can have Magic Defense, Cunning and Health materials. You can get this schematics by getting the Short List inquisition perk and visiting the Desert Merchant in the Hissing Waste. The shop will randomly sell it sometimes. Masterwork: I recommend the Fade-Touched Imperial Vestment Cotton or the Fade-Touched Lustrous Cotton for the masterwork slot. Walking Bomb is such an amazing masterwork for this build, because it gives an additional "ticking" spirit damage to your attacks and a powerful spirit explosion after a target dies. This, combined with the Fire Mine can lead to some pretty awesome aoe damage. The Superior Battlemage Cowl schematics is probably the best helmet for a damager mage. If crafted from the best materials, it can boost your Magic with 20 points. You will need the Jaws of Hakkon dlc for this schematics. You need to visit Stone-Bear Hold and look for the Weapon Merchant there. The Blade of Tidarion schematics is probably my favorite mage weapon. With this beauty, you can shoot both fire and frost projectiles with Energy Barrage, if you put a different rune in the blade than the material you made it from. Exactly what a Frost/Fire Crusader needs! Watching your enemies get “chilled”, while simultaneously start “burning” too is something I find extremely amusing. You will need the Trespasser dlc for this schematics. You need to complete the war table mission “Stop the war between Nevarra and Tevinter” with Josephine. Masterwork: I recommend the Fade-Touched Nevarrite for the masterwork slot. If you combine the masterwork from your armor with the masterwork from your blade, the result will be multiple high damage spirit explosions, whenever one of your target dies. This is usually strong enough to create a chain reaction and take out the entire enemy group. Belt of the Winter Pact. More frost damage is something I prefer a bit more than fire, but you can choose the Belt of the Inferno pact too. However you can only get that item as a random trials reward. Reward for completing the “Map to a waterfall” quest in the Hinterlands. You can get this belt very early in the game. Andraste’s Sacrifice. The best amulet for Knight-Enchanters. Guard, mana regeneration and 10% cooldown modifier. You can get this amulet in Villa Maurel in the Emerald Graves. It is in the main room in a chest. Ring of Slicing. An additional 5% Critical Chance and 10% Critical Damage bonus is something literally every character can benefit from. Including the Crusader Mage. You can buy it from the Black Emporium. You need the Black Emporium dlc. Enhanced Energy Barrage ring. Energy Barrage is the skill I personally use the most often. This ring gives and extra kick to this spell. If you can’t find it in the game, an Enhanced Winter’s Grasp ring or an Enhanced Fire Mine ring is also a good option. Random loot. I personally found it in the Hinterlands from a Fade Rift. Combat: The combat is pretty simple: Against crowds, you start with either Fade Step or Ice Mine. Fade Step is great to gain some initial protection, but sometimes you do not need it if you use Ice Mine on the group, since it freezes them so fast they don’t really have time to attack. After Ice Mine, you lay down your Fire Mine, which will cause massive aoe damage and fills up your barrier. Then you can select an opponent and cast either Winter’s Grasp or Energy Barrage on it. If you cast Winter’s Grasp the target will be frozen, which can be detonated by Energy Barrage. If you use Energy Barrage first and you follow it up with Winter’s Grasp, then your spell will cause enormous frost damage on the target. Since both combination is great, it is up to you which one you will go with. I personally use both for different situations: I use the Winter’s Grasp + Energy Barrage method on normal enemies and the Energy Barrage + Winter’s Grasp method on bosses, since the “chill” effect has a hard time applying from Fade Step or Ice Mine on bosses sometimes. After this, I usually activate Fade Cloak and “get inside” the enemy. While “inside”, I start swinging my Spirit Blade, so that the combination of Spirit Blade and Fade Cloak can result in an enormous sprit damage on the target. I found this build to be extremely fun to play. The beginning I thought that the immunities can cause some problems, but the game usually applies massive weakness to the opposite element on enemies with immunities. This means that enemies who are immune to frost will receive double fire damage and enemies who are immune to fire, will receive double frost damage. Dual immunes like the Trespasser’s Qunari Shock Troopers are extremely rare and they can also be dealt with by using Spirit Blade and Fade Cloak. I hope this guide had some useful extra details in addition to the already mentioned information in the video! I wish you good luck and much fun with the build!
